Travel Award - Improving Training Opportunities for the Pork Industry

This travel award provided the opportunity for Ross Brown (CHM RTO Manager) to collaborate with professionals from Assiniboine Community College (Canada) on the resource development for the Diploma in Pork Production, ensure the content was relevant to Australian pork producers and meets the Australian Unit Descriptor standards for the Current RTE and New AHC units. Ongoing discussions with Agri-food Skills Council ensured what was being developed was meeting industry needs as well as the broader requirements of Agricultural training programs. The completion of this Award enabled the development of an up-to-date practical-based Diploma in Pork Production for the industry.
