Immunisation of entire male pigs is associated with increased feed intake and growth rate but also backfat, which is undesirable. The study investigated the use of Lupins and mineral salts to suppress the voluntary feed intake of immunocastrated (IC) male pigs when fed ad libitum to reduce backfat.
