This travel award provided the opportunity for veterinarian, Fiona Kelk, to attend the 5th European Symposium of Porcine Health Management 2013 and the Pig Veterinary Society Spring Meeting in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. While in the UK, Fiona also met with pig veterinarians in Yorkshire and visited an outdoor farrowing piggery in southeast Scotland. The Award allowed Fiona to establish networks within the international veterinary community in order to discuss and compare approaches to common industry issues.
