This project sought to determine whether the inclusion of functional fibre sources in sow gestation and lactation diets would improve piglet growth and survival pre-weaning, increase sow lactation feed intake and improve subsequent sow reproductive performance. The data from this project indicate a positive effect of functional fibre sources in gestation and lactation diets on certain aspects of sow and piglet performance.
