This project funded the travel of Professor John Deen (USA) and Dr John Carr (UK) to present at the "Survivability - The Key to Success" industry seminar in Toowoomba and aimed to increase the adoption of strategies to minimise pig mortality on farm. Sixty eight delegates from Queensland, representing a range of industry sectors, attended to listen to the two international speakers and a local producer discuss different strategies. The delegates rated the seminar and was well received, with 51% of delegates rating the event as excellent and 47% provided a rating of very good.
